UpFronts Winter Artist Reception on Dec. 7

By: Contributed Photo
“The Tale of Tucker” is the story of how this one hen and the three alpacas became a family.
PORT JERVIS - UpFront Exhibition Space will hold it's Winter Artists Reception on Saturday, December 7 from 6-9 p.m. Live music will be provided by Walt Edwards. Also at the show will be a book signing by Nancy Davis-Kessler, “A Tale of Tucker”.
When Stu and Nancy never imagined having 3 alpacas but the animals needed to be rescued. After about a year or so, a little guinea hen appeared in the pen with the alpacas.
No one knew where she came from or why she arrived. It's been 5 years, and Tucker is still in that very same pen with her alpaca brothers!
“The Tale of Tucker” is the story of how this one hen and the three alpacas became a family. In fact, it's often been said that Tucker really believes that she IS an alpaca!
This is a book filled with many actual photos of this sweet bunch of animals that grew to love one another. It demonstrates the power of true acceptance. It shows that the definition of “family” is much more than having the same genes.
Artists included in this show are: Jesse Clemente, Nancy Davis-Kessler, Gordon Graff, Keith Helwig, Roz Hodgkins, Don Hutchinson, Peter Koenig, Karl La Londe, Charlie Lang, Karen Leenstra, Jerry O'Brian, Joe Petrosi, Billy Poolaw, Craig Smedley, Sunshine, Judith Weiss, Teddi Zelle, Elva Zingaro
This event is open to the public and there is no admission fee. This show opens on December 1 and will run through December 29. Gallery hours are 12 to 5 Thursday thru Sunday. Located at 31 Jersey Avenue, Port Jervis.
