Six-year-old Avery Sullivan and mom have a little healthy competition with her dad Jack and brother Jack Jr. Avery said that her favorite part was, "making the scarecrow with mom."
BARRYVILLE — It was a Pumpkinfest kind of day in Barryville on Saturday as the Carriage House Restaurant hosted a day filled with art, food, live music and loads of fun.
Hundred of people attended and took part in contests that included scarecrow designing, pumpkin decorating, costumes and pie eating.
There were hayrides and parades, which included pirates and princesses as far as the eye could see.
More than 20 vendors offered a variety of items ranging from handmade all natural candles to unique birdhouses. There was something for everyone and it was a wonderful way to welcome autumn to Barryville.
