According to County of Sullivan Industrial Development Agency, Holiday Mountain Ski and Fun Park in Monticello will be holding a concert on Memorial Day Weekend, from May 24 to May 27, and will be using the former Apollo Plaza Mall for parking.
MONTICELLO — This year could be known as the year of music in Sullivan County as Woodstock's 50th Anniversary concert draws near.
It's not the only venue attracting musical talent.
According to the County of Sullivan Industrial Development Agency (IDA), Holiday Mountain Ski and Fun Park in Monticello will have their concert on Memorial Day Weekend, May 24 to May 27.
The Democrat reached out to Holiday Mountain Park and TCE for comment on the concert but have not heard back by press time.
At the January 14 meeting of the IDA, General Counsel Walter Garigliano said, since there is limited parking at Holiday Mountain, the organizers would like to use the parking lot of the former Apollo Plaza Mall.
Furthermore, the Democrat reached out to SPA attorney Steven Vegliante on the concert, and he said at the moment not much is known about the show but, “Our outside attorneys are working with them to do a lease for the parking.

The concert goers would be shuttled back and forth between Holiday Mountain and Apollo Plaza Mall.
Recently, SPA forfeited the land behind the Apollo Plaza Mall to the county after not meeting the obligations
set forth by the Sullivan County Funding Corporation (SCFC).
Currently, the Apollo Plaza Mall is owned by Sullivan Property Acquisitions I, LLC (SPA) a Daniel “Butch” Resnick company.
The Holiday Mountain Ski and Fun Park is open year round and offers family activities like go-karts, bumper boat, potato sack slide, mini-golf and skiing, and tubbing during the winter months.
Also presented in the resolution at the IDA meeting was TCE Presents, LLC, a Brooklyn based production company.
Due to the agreement between the SPA and the IDA, the IDA has to give consent to license the Apollo Plaza Mall parking lot for the concert.
The concert was on the Thompson Planning Board agenda on January 9 but was taken off at the last minute because according to Paula Kay, Deputy Attorney for Thompson, Sullivan Property Acquisitions were not ready.
SPA and TCE Presents, LLC were requesting site plan approval from the Thompson Planning Board and the topic might be on the agenda for the January 23 planning board meeting.
