Eric Polick paused a moment to show his almost-finished ice guitar sculpture.
WURTSBORO — Wurtsboro's Winterfest drew full crowds to Sullivan St. despite the icy weather.
Festivalgoers got to enjoy an ice carving contest at the town park; a Chili Cook-Off at the fire house where you got to sample different chilis and vote for the best one; a treasure hunt throughout the village; children's activities including face painting; Birds of Prey Show by Ravensbeard Rescue Group sponsored by The Basha Kill Area Association; and palm and psychic readings at the Crystal Connection.
All the stores and restaurants were also open. Free maps were given to the events, and Wurtsboro Art Alliance held an exhibit at its gallery.
