Outpatient services curtailed

Mar 30, 2020

HONESDALE, PA - Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, Wayne Memorial Outpatient Services is closing five of its eight service sites. Most of the services will still be available at the remaining sites, which include the hospital.
As of Monday, March 30th, these sites will be closed:
• Route 6 Mall Lab and Rehabilitation Services, Honesdale
• Delaware Street Rehabilitation Services, Honesdale
• Lab & X-Ray at Pinnacle Health in Tafton
• Lab & X-ray at the Route 6 Waymart site
• Lab services at the Forest City Family Health Center
Wayne Memorial Hospital will continue to offer laboratory and radiology services at the hospital in Honesdale, the Carbondale Family Health Center, the Hamlin Family Health Center and the Pike Medical Center. For addresses, hours and phone numbers, please visit www.wmh.org
“Our medical staff is still seeing patients with urgent needs outside of the COVID-19 virus,” said James Hockenbury, director Ancillary services, “but our focus is also on safety for our patients, staff and visitors.
We are asking the public for its cooperation during this difficult time.”
In an effort to help reduce the spread of COVID-19, the hospital has also cancelled elective surgeries, restricted visitation at the main campus in Honesdale and reduced hospital access entries to only two doors during the day and one at night.
