The Democrat is happy to welcome Sarah Clark as our 2019 summer intern. Clark is a Sullivan West graduate from Youngsville, NY who studies Communications with a concentration in Journalism at The College of Saint Rose. Since transferring to Saint Rose from Marymount Manhattan College, she has immersed herself in The Chronicle, the college's newspaper, where she is the News Editor.

Clark is also a spoken word poet who has performed at Urban Word NYC, St. Rocco's Readings, the Nuyorican Poets Cafe, and other venues throughout New York. She is excited to have poems in the UNITED: Volume Red anthology, which will be published in June 2019.

Clark enjoys working with everyone at The Sullivan County Democrat and loves getting to know her community. She is excited to grow as a journalist and looks forward to future opportunities.
