THOMPSON — On Monday evening, January 14, at approximately 11:15 p.m., the Sullivan County Sheriff's Patrol responded to a 911 call of a motorcycle accident at the corner of Katrina Falls Road and Lucky Lake Road in Rock Hill.

At the scene deputies found a 2017 Yamaha motorcycle that had left the road and struck a tree. The rider, Patrick O'Brien, 31, of Rock Hill had been ejected. O'Brien was treated at the scene by Rock Hill Ambulance and Mobile Medic and transported to Catskill Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Deputies are continuing the investigation. Responding to the scene was Rock Hill Fire Department and Sullivan County Coroner Albee Bachman. An autopsy is pending.
