MONTICELLO — A longtime Sullivan County Treasurer's Office employee who was charged with stealing approximately $4,500 of taxpayers' money pled guilty to all charges in May and is set to be sentenced by mid-September.

Sullivan County Sheriff's deputies arrested the 61-year-old Narrowsburg resident in May 2016. She was charged with two felonies, grand larceny in the third degree and falsifying business records in the first degree.

Sullivan County District Attorney Jim Farrell declined to comment until the time of sentencing, but confirmed last year that the theft had occurred over a period of time.

According to officials, a routine audit uncovered the missing funds and the court complaint accuses Robertson of trying to cover it up by falsifying tax payment records.

Robertson had been a county employee for 17 years.
