ROCK HILL — Rock Hill Fire Department (RHFD) has a new truck in their fleet, and it was unveiled via a Facebook Live video this week.

RHFD has a new 2019 Rosenbauer Avenger Pumper, a 1500 gallons per minute pumper with the capacity to hold 1000 gallons of water, according to RHFD Chief Brian Soller.

Furthermore, the pumper has a full set of Holmatro E-Draulic Extrication tools.

This new pumper, with the call sign of 27-12, will be replacing their 1998 Pierce Pumper once it is in service.

Chief Soller said additional equipment has to be installed, and the firefighters would have to be trained to use it.

RHFD says they are planning a wet down as soon as it is safe to do so.
