CALLICOON — An early morning alarm on Wednesday brought the New York State Police to the Callicoon branch of Catskill Hudson Bank. “It appears the bank was broken into around 4 a.m. Wednesday,” NYS Police Investigator Christopher Williams said. “Anyone who has any information should contact us at 845-292-6600.”

Because of the nature of the investigation, neither police nor bank officials would disclose what, if anything, was stolen. Several BCI investigators, several troopers and a NYS Police forensic specialist spent several hours at the bank on Wednesday investigating the incident. Crime scene tape appeared across the outside ATM machine and the Main Street branch reopened on Thursday.
