When he writes about political or social issues Ed Townsend usually does NOT come right out and reveal his opinions. Instead he cites somewhat lesser-known, far-right individuals. He would then quote from them with the intent that readers will adopt their far-right attitudes and actions. If one is interested in sports and hunting, Townsend can be a strait laced, objective, entertaining reporter. But if you don't relish far-right menacing propaganda, turn away from the "Here and There" column.
