Times have changed and it is time to change the offensive mascot names just like the pro teams have done.

I remember many years ago when a Liberty student dressed up in a headdress, bare chested, wearing what looked like a buckskin vest and breeches with warpaint on his face and a tomahawk led the basketball team on to the court during home games.

Would that be considered racist today?

I am willing to bet school administrator heads would roll today.
