I hate to put my air conditioning on, even when it is 90 degrees outside. I would rather just open the windows. But of course when it is that hot, all I am doing is letting more hot air in. So in spite of this hangup, I am trying to adjust my thinking.
To top it off, I had some flaky Pillsbury biscuits I was dying to partake of. According to the directions, I was to place them in a preheated oven of 350 degrees. I tried to adjust my thinking on that also to no avail. So after turning on my air conditioning, I wound up putting 8 big biscuits in the oven at 3 o’clock this morning. Was it worth it? Would it have been better to postpone the biscuit idea to a chilly day? No! I made myself a cup of tea and ate four biscuits with butter on them and two with added red currant jelly.
At my age, I find it’s not good to postpone things because I may not make it to the appointed date.
Since I will be busy all day tomorow, which is the day I need to get my column in, there was one problem with that. I still hadn’t settled on a subject for my column. In other words, I hadn’t decided which direction to go with my SENSE OF DIRECTION column. So after baking it in my brain, I decided to go with Baking Biscuits.
