JEFFERSONVILLE — Business is booming in the Jeffersonville area where the Jeff Area Chamber of Commerce helped four new businesses say "hello" to the world.

Ranging from a gym that caters to one person at a time to a cider maker who combines hard cider with mead for a unique twist on an old favorite, the businesses all had their official ribbon cuttings Saturday afternoon. While their official opening dates were varied, COVID protocols had delayed the ceremonies, pushing the chamber to hold a walking (and for the Youngsville cidery, driving) event.

In total, the new businesses are: VIP Fitness, owned by Dustin Pritzert; The Studio, owned by Jill Smith and Amanda Danzilo; Catskills Cycle Works, owned by Kelly Lawler and John Thorndike; and Forthright Cyder and Mead, owned by Michelle Eaton and Japtheth Fitzpatrick.
