LIBERTY – Help A Single Bite to raise money toward the treatment and prevention of heart disease locally. 

The 47th Annual 98.3 WSUL Heart-a-thon will take place Friday, February 21 and benefit equipment and programs that demonstrate a focus on the Prevention, Education, and Treatment of Heart Disease in Sullivan County.

100 percent of the funds raised from the 98.3 WSUL Heart-A-Thon stay right here in the Sullivan Catskills, and once again in 2025, a portion of the proceeds will support A Single Bite’s nutrition education programs.

Order a scratch-made, Hearty Meal and enjoy dinner for four  people on February 13. The menu, created by Chef Jonathan Martinez, includes Herb Roasted Chicken or Moroccan Inspired Vegetable & Freekah Medley, Roasted Potatoes and a Fresh Vegetable, plus a delicious, fresh baked dessert.

Order your meal by February 10 (or you can make a $60 donation and A Single Bite will deliver a meal to a local family in need). 

Pick-up is between 4 pm and 6 pm on February 13 at A Single Bite @ The Sullivan Catskills Food Hub, 92 Commerce Drive, Liberty, NY 12754.

Supporting this year’s Hearty Meals helps A Single Bite’s present a free, four-part experiential series to seventh grade students in every Sullivan County school district. 

“We introduce the concept of real versus processed food through classroom sessions, farm field trips, and restaurant visits. Our Real Food education program, started by Kirsten and Sims Foster of Foster Supply Hospitality, has reached more than 3,000 different students since 2019,” said Executive Director, . Audrey Garro.
