Adults and children invited to Purim celebration

MONTICELLO — Sunday, March 5, is the date when Temple Sholom will host a Purim party featuring a dramatization of the Purim tale by the inimitable storyteller Ira Simon. The festivities will start at 1:30 pm and will include music, Israeli dancing, crafts, and noisemakers (or graggers, as they are known in Jewish tradition.)

Children will be encouraged to pack a bag with goodies to give to friends and neighbors—a tradition for this holiday. Attendance is free, and all are invited to come in costume. Temple Sholom is at 5 East Dillon Road in Monticello, just off Route 42. Please RSVP to Lauren Miller 845-794-3962 to make sure there will be enough hamentaschen for you!
