Baseball is Baseball...Not Politics

OK sports fans…is baseball sports or is baseball now all about politics.

As it is now appearing Major League Baseball's decision to pull the All-Star game out of Georgia in protest of the state's new voter law has completely turned the sport of baseball into a political arena.

That we're debating and arguing about whether or not you should have a voter ID to vote in our elections is laughable, and it's a conversation that does not even belong in the sport of baseball.

A variety of folks even have projected that baseball's decision will backfire and hit the organization in the pocketbook something it cannot afford at this time while battling the effect that the pandemic has had on the sport.

We don't support those who have called for baseball fans to boycott the league over its decision to pull the game and 2021 draft out of the state.

Baseball in taking this action will impact the working class fan, middle class-stadium workers, and the Atlanta community will lose a $100 million boom…does baseball enjoy hurting the Atlanta economy?

This is going to do nothing but hurt the Atlanta economy. For what? Nothing's going to change. What is the goal? Is the goal to get the law rescinded? Is the goal to continue to ask for and demand fewer and fewer restrictions to having a government ID?

We're having conversations we shouldn't be having. The conversations should be about the law.

Voter ID is a serious matter but those in opposition scream and yell with no facts.

The morally and ethically deprived groups are leading the thought police right now and this is what happens when you allow that to happen.

Get baseball out of politics and back on the baseball diamond.
