Congratulations to the Cardenas - Mansfield families. Ace was born on February18th.

Thank you to the Napolitano-Lovett family in Smallwood for sending some great news! Bella, along with being an Opera singer, recently made Dean's List at Purchase and brother, Lorenzo, received awards and a reception at BOCES. He is also a Firefighter in Training with Smallwood Fire Department.

Resident youth are offered a Villa Roma ski discount on Sundays or at Big Bear the evening of the 29th. Summer Job Applications are available at Town Hall. CEAP and the ‘Save a Life' free smoke and CO2 detector application programs are still available to town residents.

Besides the many other programs, EB Crawford Library will be offering tax preparation help. Check the schedule for free trips for children through ‘Nana's House'. Mark your calendar and register for the March 8th ‘Celebrate Life Half Marathon' and for the May 12th ‘Allyson Whitney Foundation 5K'. Culture: The Stray Cat Gallery, DVAA, Narrowsburg Union, CAS, Laundry King, Barryville and Wurtsboro centers have exhibits worth seeing. Check the schedules before heading out.

Callicoon Theater screens “1917” on the 27th and then close for vacation.

Step into “Dance it Off” or “Walk the Halls” on Thursdays at Duggan at 6pm.

‘Far Beyond Gone' is at Roscoe Beer Co on Friday, the 28th at 6pm and ‘BJ &Greg' appear on the 29th.

February 29th, Leap Year, was also my Dad, Art's birthday. Although he is gone a long while, the extra day and date remind me to make any extra time COUNT. Why not celebrate and do something special?

DVAA offers the ‘Long Gone Shadow Show', an interesting paper-cut shadow performance, as part of the Winter Salon Series, on the 29th from 2-4pm. WJFF Radio host their “WJFF Night Out at the Catskill Distilling Co” anniversary gathering, leap year party and fundraiser on Saturday, the 29th, from 7-10pm. “Shades' perform at Dutch's on Saturday night.

The Callicoon Farm Market runs all season on Sundays from 11-2pm. Defillippis Bakery offers ‘Music Where You Least Expect It' Sunday AM brunch-time music, from 11-1pm. The ‘Van Manakas Trio' perform at the Hurleyville SC Historical Society and Museum (434-8044) on Sunday, the 1st, from 2-3:30pm.

Participate in ‘DIY Arts & Crafts Coloring' at The Kartrite on Monday, the 2nd, from 10:30-3pm.
