Reminder: As I write this, even the cavalier President and First Lady have contracted the Covid virus. Does it seem real now? For your health's sake and to protect others, follow Covid-19 protocols, wear a mask properly and get tested if you have symptoms. Get a flu shot this fall!

To Do: Register to VOTE by October 9th. Request an Absentee -Mail In Ballot early, although the deadline is the 27th. Early Voting is Oct 24 to Nov 1 at the SC Govt. Center (BOE 807-0400 or sullivanny.us). Vote in person on election day, November 3rd. There may be an extended deadline for the important 2020 CENSUS. Do it!

Visit the Reserve at Smallwood, use the Dog Park or plan a scenic hike using NYS Trailkeeper.org map trail choices. Rent a boat on White Lake. Bethel Parks and Rec ‘Dance It Off' is ongoing on Thursdays at 6pm at Duggan.

Visit Bethel Woods Museum and Resort World Catskills. Bethel Wood's Silent Auction, “Help Us Share the Music, Again”*, opened on the 1st and runs until the 24th. Register for Bethel Woods' virtual ‘Expressive Art' for Alzheimer's session on Tuesday at 11am*. Sign up for ‘Mandala Making' for Teens at Project: Identity Art Studio-The BW Conservatory on the 6th at 6pm*, Meet at the BW Conservatory for ‘Exploring Herbs and Essential Oils' with Candace Rivela at the Conservatory on the 7th at 6pm*. Join a live stream 'Evening of NY Songs and Stories with Suzanne Vega' on the 7th at 7pm*. Join folks at BW Market Sheds for “More Than a Meal” featuring Jazz/ Food Fusion on the 8th at 6pm*. The Jewish holiday of Simchat Torah is celebrated on the 11th. Plan to participate in ‘Open Level Vinyasa Flow” on the 11th on the BW Field at 9:30am*, visit the Museum or check out the augmented reality tour, ‘Meet Me At Woodstock'.

Enjoy the activity, farm, food and craft vendors at the weekly Bethel Woods Harvest Festival on Sunday from 11-4pm. Mark the calendar for Columbus Day on the 12th. The Forestburgh Playhouse Teen Musical Theater Intensive sold out but ‘Tavern to-go' is still on (forestburghtavern.com). Support our artists, musicians and the area art centers.
