As NYS ‘opens up', remain vigilant. You know the drill. Distance, wash hands, mask. The Mid Hudson area is in Phase III. All the fuss over masks reminds me of the sign, “No shirt, no shoes, no service”. To enter and get a burger, you abide by the rule.

In this case it's about your rights and wearing a mask? Without one, you have the potential to spread a virus that may cause you or someone else to have a 30-day stay with a respirator. Why play roulette? Please reconsider your stand.

Culture: Look forward to Bethel Lakeside Music on Thursday evenings in K Lake Community Gazebo Park this season. The kickoff is July 16th with headliners Keith Newman and Lynn Reno performing at 6:30 p.m. Bethel has worked out the details and respectfully following CDC guidelines will ensure safety.

The weekly events are free, rain or shine and seating is limited, so BYO chair/blanket and snacks. We are aware that the Pavilion season is nixed, but await the Museum and other Bethel Woods events to be announced. FMI:Bethelwoodscenter.org or shopbethelwoods.com for Museum shopping.
