Let’s get back to work! Businesses are paying more and modifying work schedules in hopes of attracting employees. Adding serious training and hospitality points to the list would work for all parties.

Register for free tickets for DVAA and Bethel Woods’ presentation of “Summer of Soul”, part music film and part historical record, at the BWCA Terrace Stage on the 1st at 8:30-11pm. This event kicks off DVAA’s series of celebrations of the Big Eddy Film Festival’s 10th Anniversary.

Celebrate Independence Day on Sunday, July 4th! Join the Smallwood-Mongaup Valley Fire Department’s Annual 5K Run/ Walk on the 4th. Register before the 8am start. The SMVFD’s Open House follows the event at 1pm with food, music, raffles, prizes and fun. Bethel’s fireworks at dusk should be exponentially greater this year as reserve money from 2020 is invested in the ‘21 spectacle. Viewing from White Lake 17B side is good and Kauneonga Lake side even better. Parking is the usual issue. Reserve early if you plan on lakeside deck dining and viewing. Better yet, take your boat out on the lake with family and friends at viewing time!
