Many people who were not working had medical, personal and child care issues and that situation could improve as children head to school. In defense, most people are not ‘lazy and looking for a handout’, as some folks say... You might rely on the Bethel Business Association and members or the BLDC for advice.

Attend the 23rd Annual Bethel Woods Harvest Fest this Sunday, the 12th, from11am-4pm. The Festival runs until October 3rd and is free, but there’s a $5 parking fee. Enjoy weekly music, food truck court, corn maze, a variety of crafts and regional vendors – including local farmers, artisans, homemade food makers, local spirits and specialty items. Try ‘Paint Night with Kim’ at Hector’s Inn on Monday, the 13th at 6:30pm.

Not to be missed, FBPlayhouse is creating “In the Works-In the Woods” with readings, plays, dramas, musicals, ‘cab lab’, Q&A’s, and more for the weekend of the 9th.

Attend “The Last Picture Art Show” at The Nutshell Art Center in Lake Huntington this last weekend (932-5205). See the Narrowsburg Union ‘Group Exhibit’ until October 2nd. Catch Noah Kalina’s “Over Time” exhibit at the Laundry King from the 11th to end of October. CAS artists should submit artwork beginning October 1 for a future show.
