Locally, the Monticello Central School District’s $94.5 million 2022-23 school budget passed. Victoria LaRusso, Ashley Rielly and Jennifer Holmes were elected to the three school Board of Education seats for a three-year term.

Kudos to Women’s WNT soccer for the W! The Town is hosting a ribbon cutting on the 28th for the recently opened Mason Jar Specialty Foods in Kauneonga Lake at 10am. The WHO perform at the Bethel Woods pavilion on Saturday night at 7:30pm.

The River Ramblers are playing at the opening weekend of Callicoon’s Western Inn, on the 29th from 2-5pm.

Memorial Day will be observed on Monday, the 30th to mourn the military personnel who have died while serving in the US armed forces. I expect there will be a Post 5499 Sgt. Hurleyville PAC has programs and classes to choose from and the theater is screening ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ on the 27-29th, Fri and Sat at 7:30 and Sunday at 2pm. Callicoon Theater also offers “Top Gun: Maverick” on the 27-30th at 7:30 and adds 2pm showings on Saturday and Sunday.

Forestburgh Playhouse offers Tavern ‘Karaoke’ on the 27th and ‘The Little Big Band’ on the 28th.

Look for entertainment at Hector’s Inn and in the surrounding area at Dutchs, Rafters, Cabernet Franks and the Bashakill.
