Happy Birthday to Bethel's favorite guy, Ralph Liff, an awesome 102 this year! Birthday wishes to Diane Levine, Cindy Zinger, Blake Stratton, Lisa Marton, Kevin Colpoys, and Vinnie Simkin.

Our sympathy extends to the families and friends of the Rev James Matthews, Marilyn McKean, Florence Armstrong, Seymour Rosenheck and to the Paradiso family.

COVID-19: Although the “curve” is waning, wear a mask and practice social distancing to lessen the consequences. Be patient, kind, and appreciative to those who have helped sustain a degree of normalcy, health and sanity. A positive highlight is seeing the way people and organizations have responded in return: Food, gifts and messages to the medical and emergency staffs, essential workers, pantries, shut-ins, students and families were well received.

An online bereavement support group “Comfort in the Storm” is available on Thursdays from 6:30-8 p.m. Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Co. telephone counseling - 561-6111. Town of Bethel - 583-4350. Look for Town and County meetings on media platforms. The Bethel Town Board will conduct a Zoom meeting on May 13 at 7:30 p.m.. The ID and password are available at www.town.

Complete the form at 2020Census.gov to make a difference and be counted! Use EBCrawford Public Library as a resource for state and federal information and applications. Dutch's hosts an Open Mic every Monday on Fb.

Check Bethelwoodscenter.org/Covid19 for updates. Most local art and cultural centers offer virtual events and things to do on-line. “Binge-watch?” the shows and movies you have put off.

Sadly, Franklin Trapp has announced that there will not be a 2020 Forestburgh Playhouse Mainstage Season, but asks for support and to look for events to be scheduled in the future.
