BETHEL — Do you believe in Rock ’n’ Roll? Bethel Woods Center for the Arts has announced a summer film series, aptly called Music & the Movies, that explores Rock ’n’ Roll from coast to coast with some 80’s hair band action in between. Beginning with Echo in the Canyon, celebrating the unique sounds of Laurel Canyon’s folk explosion in the mid-60’s; followed by special guest host American Idol Finalist and Tony Nominee Constantine Maroulis presenting the 80’s rock band cult classic Rock of Ages; and closing with the newly released The Day the Music Died: The Story of Don McLean’s American Pie, featuring the inside story of Don McLean’s American Pie and offered for FREE courtesy of Viacom Studios.
The movies will be shown as follows; Echoes in the Canyon on July 27, Rock of Ages, hosted by American Idol and Tony Award Nominee Constantine Maroulis, on August 3, and The Day the Music Died: The Story of Don McLean’s American Pie on August 10. All movies will be viewed at Museum Terrace Stage (rain location, Event Gallery). Doors and Café Concessions open at 7:30 pm, the screenings begin at 8:15pm.
Tickets are $15 General admission, $12 Members.
