BETHANY, PA - John Harvey, author of The Stillness of the Living Forest: A Year of Listening and Learning will be leading a Birding Walk from the Bethany Library on Saturday, May 14. John, who is a naturalist and avid birder will lead the walk down Court Street in Bethany to the local pond and dam. John will also discuss how birding can be a way to connect with nature.

This walk is appropriate for birders of all levels, both beginners and those who are more experienced. The walk will be held rain or shine (let’s hope for sunshine and warm weather!). There is no cost to attend the walk.

John suggests that the attendees bring a pair of binoculars, if they have them. He will explain the use of the Cornell School of Ornithology app ‘Merlin’. Participants can download the free app to their phones prior to the day of the walk.

To register for the walk please call the Bethany Public Library at (570) 253-4349. The Bethany Public Library is located at 8 Court Street, Bethany, PA.
