Monticello traveled to Minisink on Monday for a division matchup against the Warriors. After sweeping the Sullivan West tournament on Sunday, the Panthers had a hard time getting their offense going, scoring just two runs on five hits in the game. The pair of runs were scored in the fourth inning after Minisink had built an early 5-run lead, and Monticello was unable to equalize.

Tri-Valley’s week has been up and down. They started with a division loss to Chester, scoring 6 runs but giving up 13 in the loss. On Tuesday, they had a double-header against Chapel Field, sweeping the series with a 7-6 win and a 12-9 win. Tri-Valley’s record is now 5-6 (1-2). Ryleigh Schoonmaker pitched into the fifth inning before reliever Melanie Merton came in to close out the game.
