MILFORD, PA - GAIT Therapeutic Riding Center provides a variety of equine programs that benefit members of this community with needs that are special.

As a PATH International Premiere Accredited Center, GAIT TRC offers horsemanship skills such as therapeutic riding (TR), educational experiences such as equine assisted learning (EAL) and hippotherapy (HPOT) for children, youth, adults and seniors.

All sessions are conducted by PATH certified instructors, licensed therapists and Equine Specialists. Adding to the list of credentialed personnel at GAIT, the Board of Directors is pleased to announce that their Executive Director, Martha Dubensky, has recently added to her list, her license as a Mental Health Professional.

Along with her other degrees and certifications to instruct participants in horseback riding skills, care, feed and first aid for horses in horsemanship sessions, she offers professional counseling for youth, adults and seniors with mental health challenges. She is certified in Trauma studies and as an Equine Specialist to explain horse behavior as it is affected by human emotions.

During individual Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy (EFP) sessions, Ms. Dubensky pairs a person with a horse to allow that person to attain goals such as reducing anxiety or increasing self-confidence.
