Our beloved Brian Ralph Stauch, Jr. died unexpectedly on Saturday, June 26th, 2021. While Brian’s death was unexpected, we feared for years, the demons of his addiction would eventually take his life.

Brian was born May 14, 1997 in Honesdale, PA. He was a 2015 graduate of Sullivan West Central School. He resided in California at the time of his death.

Brian was an avid lover of sports and the outdoors. An accomplished athlete, he enjoyed athletic adventures from his pee wee days of football, basketball, and baseball to varsity level athletics. Brian loved hunting, and had the best of times with his dad and brother at their hunting camp. Brian loved motorcycles, dirt bikes, anything with a motor. He spent many years competing in outdoor motocross.

Brian in true outdoor fashion loved the beach and ocean.

His love for family, friends and animals defined who he was. A kind, genuine, loving and accepting human being who saw the good in everyone he met!

Brian is survived by his parents Brian R. Stauch, Sr. of Callicoon, NY and Christina and Gregory Hawkins of Youngsville, NY; his sister Erika Stauch-Schroeder and her husband Steven, his best friend and brother Tom Stauch and his girlfriend Lakota Gannett; his step-sister Morgan Hawkins and her fiance’ Grady Jackson; his maternal grandparents Jack and Cindy Mootz, his paternal grandparents Roger and Betty Stauch and Turk and Bev Hawkins and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Please join the family for a celebration of life gathering on Thursday, July 8, 2021 from 4 to 7 PM at the Youngsville Firehouse, 1822 County Rte. 149 Shandelee Road, Youngsville, NY 12791.

In lieu of flowers: please make a donation to a charity of your choice.
