Catholic Charities receives huge boost

HUDSON VALLEY – Since joining Catholic Charities’ annual Feeding Our Neighbors campaign in 2014, ShopRite Supermarkets and its guests have donated $619,000 and more than 100,000 pounds of food to the Archdiocesan-wide fund and food drive in its Hudson Valley market area over the past eight years.

The generous monetary donation reflects a total meal equivalent of 2,476,000 meals.  The donations are distributed to food pantries, soup kitchens, and other anti-poverty programs throughout the Archdiocese of New York.

ShopRite employees were on hand at Catholic Charities of Orange, Sullivan, and Ulster’s recent Celebration of Charity dinner to present the 2022 Feeding Our Neighbors campaign donation of $59,384 to Catholic Charities’ Board Chair Tom Strahle and CEO Shannon Kelly.

For more information about making a donation of cash or food, contact your local food pantry or Catholic Charities office.

In Sullivan County visit www.cccsos.org, to find the nearest office or call 845.294.5124 x1005.
