Charles James (Jim) Rose of Livingston Manor passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at Roscoe Nursing Home. He was 86.

He is the son of the late Kenneth Rose and Thelma Jagger, born on September 5, 1937, in Livingston Manor, NY.

Jim proudly served our country in the United States Army from 1955-1958. During this time, he drove tractor trailer in much of Germany and France. When he returned home, he started to serve his community in other ways.

He was the founder and past president of Jim Rose Electric in Livingston Manor. He was a past member of the Sullivan County Electrical Licensing Board, past officer of the Livingston Manor Fire Department, and one of the first members of the Sullivan County Volunteer Firemen Association Dive Team.

He was also a past president of the Livingston Manor Rotary Club.

In his free time, he enjoyed camping with his children and grandchildren, hunting and fishing. He loved traveling and most importantly spending time with his great grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by everyone that knew and loved him.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 54 years Eleanor Norris Fisk Rose at home, his children Daniel Fisk (Betty) of Monterey TN, Kenneth Fisk (Linda) of Livingston Manor, daughter-in-law Sherry Fisk of Livingston Manor, brother Kenneth Rose of Monticello, NY, and sister-in-law Betty Rose of Boca Raton, Florida, grandchildren Lindsay Fisk (Mark) of Salem, NY, Jessica Fisk of Arlington, VA., and Kenneth Fisk Jr. (Taylor) of Livingston Manor, and great grandchildren Parker Fisk, and Rori Fisk, both of Livingston Manor.

He was predeceased by his son Joel Fisk and brother Gary Rose.

Services will be held privately.
