Charles Stieglitz, of Berkshire, New York, and formerly of South Fallsburg, passed away on November 23, 2019, at the age of 83.
Charlie was a graduate of Fallsburg High School and received degrees from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Cornell University School of Engineering.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; daughters Barbara Greco of San Jose, California, and Alexandra Masui of Minneapolis, Minnesota; a son Theodore of Houston, Texas; brother Richard Stieglitz and brother-in-law Denis Racine, each of South Fallsburg; and grandchildren, nieces and nephews, cousins, and close friends.
He was the son of Charles and Martha Stieglitz and was predeceased by his sister, MaryAnn Racine, and his sister-in-law, Glenna Stieglitz. After retiring from IBM, Charlie became active in local affairs, golf, and cross-country skiing and enjoyed regular trips back to South Fallsburg, especially to visit Stieglitz Bungalow colony, where he was one of the original “River Boys”.
