Christina A. “Tina” (Churak) Mackay of Newburgh, NY, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at  Montgomery Nursing Home. The daughter of Alexander and Anne Sawchuk Churak, Sr., she was born January 6, 1946 in Brooklyn, NY. She was 76 years old.

 Christina was a legal secretary for Donald Ellerman, Manhattan, NY. She was the widow of the late John Donald Mackay.

Christina is survived by her brothers; Timothy Churak of Greenfield Park, NY, and Alex Churak, Jr. and his wife, Natalie, of Greenfield Park, NY; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gill and Sandy Mackay of Newburgh; and nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services were private. Burial was in the Goodwill Cemetery, Montgomery, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to the Walden Humane Society, 2489 Albany Post Road, Walden, NY 12586.
