SULLIVAN COUNTY – The Conservative Party of Sullivan County released their candidate endorsements for the General Election in November following their meeting on March 1.

Party Chair Ed Magilton said that the Conservative Party endorsed Legislative Chair Robert Doherty for the First Legislative District, Michael Brooks for the Third District, and John Lacey for the Seventh District.

They did not make endorsements for legislative districts  2, 4, 5, 6, 8 or 9. 

The Conservative Party endorsed a number of other candidates running for various other positions. For the office of District Attorney (DA), the Conservatives have endorsed Acting DA Brian Conaty as their candidate. Alan Kesten was endorsed by the party for the position of Sullivan County Coroner. County Clerk Russell Reeves was also endorsed for his run for re-election.

Magilton noted that the Conservative Party’s endorsements for candidates running in local elections are to be announced in the near future.
