Curry Estate officially names restaurant

HOPEWELL JUNCTION — The Curry Estate, formerly known as Le Chambord, in Hopewell Junction, New York, has officially named its four-star dining room Restaurant Six.

“What’s in a name? Well, for my sisters and I, quite a lot,” says Cathleen Addreucci, one of the six Curry sisters who own and operate the estate. “We wanted a name for our restaurant that would not only tell the story of who we are as a family but would also move the traditional French cuisine that everyone has come to expect into a more modern era.”

The Curry family’s six sisters purchased Le Chambord in 2018 and gave the establishment their family name. Le Chambord had been known for decades for its elegant weddings and upscale French cuisine.  The main building where Restaurant Six is located dates back to 1860 and has recently undergone a facelift.

The Restaurant Six name is an acknowledgement of the six sisters who own Curry Estate. All the sisters have experience working in different parts of the hospitality industry, and they were drawn to the idea of finding a restaurant and venue that would bring them back home to the Hudson Valley. Their vision for the restaurant is to serve exceptional meals in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.

“Whether our guests stop by for a casual night out or entrust us with the hosting of a special event, they will be treated to exceptional French-inspired, local Hudson Valley cuisine at Restaurant Six,” says Executive Chef Richard Hoert, who attended the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park.  “Our menu is comforting and traditional but never boring.”

Restaurant Six will have its grand opening during Hudson Valley Restaurant Week, March 20 through April 2.
