Diana R. Ebert of Callicoon, NY, a retired Instructor at the Delaware Job Corps, and a longtime area resident, died Friday, January 24, 2025 at her home. She was 75.
The daughter of Ruth E. Preston Simmons and the late James L. Simmons, she was born November 3, 1949 in Stamford, NY.
Diana enjoyed traveling, camping, and being a seamstress for her family.
Survivors include her husband, Giles H. Ebert, at home; two daughters, Laura Hess and her husband William of Callicoon, NY and Jeannie Hillriegel and her husband Brian of Callicoon, NY; one son, Wade Ebert and his wife Lara of Damascus, PA; three sisters, Catherine Gathright and her husband Michael of SC, Elaine Swantak of So. Kortright, NY and Karen Van Amburgh and her husband Enos of MS; three grandchildren, Luke and Louis Hess and Michael Hillriegel; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Grace Hillriegel.
Private graveside services and burial will be in the spring in the Hortonville Cemetery, Hortonville, NY. Memorial contributions in Diana’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Shriners Hospital 2900 No. Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
