Doves continue to thrive in Sullivan County

The Callicoon Hills Dove was painted by artist Lara Masterson (left). Annie’s Ruff Cut, located at 90 Forman Rd in Cochecton, serves up great food with friendly service. The Sullivan Catskills Visitors Association began the Catskills Dove Trail© in 2019 as a way to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the 1969 Woodstock Music and Arts Festival. Two years later and new doves are still landing in Sullivan County, perched in villages, towns, and at several tourism businesses.
Each permanently mounted dove is hand-painted by a professional local artist and inspired by Sullivan County’s culture of art and music, as well as what makes each location unique.
Over the past several weeks, the SCVA has added four new doves that bring a little color and joy to each community where they make their nest.
