ELDRED –– Trai Kaufmann of Eldred has been named to the all-state team by the New York State Sports Writer’s Association (NYSSWA). Kaufmann was a fourth-team pick for Class D and the only athlete to be selected from Sullivan County. This season, Kaufmann averaged 18.3 points, 7 rebounds, 1.8 blocks, and 2.7 steals per game to lead his team in scoring and to the Class D title.

 Eldred finished up this season with a 14-4 record making it to Regionals this year. Kaufmann will play his final season as a Yellowjacket next year.

Coach Bill Furler said, “Trai has been on the Varsity team since 8th grade. He is always looking to work on his game and has a great work ethic.”
