Elizabeth N. Lader of Ferndale, NY, a retired Counselor for New Hope Community, and a lifelong area resident, died Saturday, August 3, 2024 at her home. She was 83.
The daughter of the late Eugene A. Couch and Mildred E. Donaldson, she was born December 27, 1940 in Monticello, NY.
Elizabeth is survived by her life partner, Gregory A. Stokes, at home; one daughter, Diane Applegate of Monticello, NY; one sister, Lois Couch of MA; a mother-in-law Mary Stokes; a sister-in-law Katherine Stokes; a brother-in-law David Stokes; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a step-father, William Donaldson; brother, Robert Couch; sister, Marilyn A. Young; father-in-law John T. Stokes; and a nephew, Edward Donaldson.
At this time the family has chosen to celebrate Elizabeth’s life privately. Dignified cremation is being provided by Harris Crematorium, LLC.
