FALLSBURG – In the Comets’ final regular season game, Ellenville came to town holding onto a three-game winning streak. For Ellenville to enter into a first place tie with Sullivan West and Roscoe, they had to defeat the Comets and the Bulldogs had to defeat Roscoe. Ellenville did their part, handily defeating the Comets by a 36-point margin, 50-14. A 30-point first quarter for the Blue Devils set the tone, as they had a 38-8 lead entering halftime. By the end of the third quarter, Ellenville had expanded their lead to 42 points, leading 50-8, before Fallsburg scored in the final frame to make the score 50-14.
