Frederick Fischer Bennett, born July 7, 1952, passed away on May 23, 2021 at his home in Greencastle, PA. Fred was born in Nutley, New Jersey, to William and Frances Bennett. He is predeceased by his parents and one sister, Arlene Bennett O'Mara.

He is survived by his wife, Blanche Reynolds Bennett, whom he married in April of 1979. He also leaves behind one brother, Kenneth Bennett. Frederick is also survived by one daughter, Jeri Bennett Cooper with husband Michael Cooper, of Mercersburg, PA, and one son, Jeremy Freedom Bennett with wife, Dolores Doane Bennett, and three step-daughters, Miri Smith with Roy Waddell, Katrina A. Smith, and Rori Smith Dickson.

Fred has 2 grandsons, Zachery J. Wilkerson and Matthew Z. Bennett, and two granddaughters, Abigail N. Cooper, and Amber R. Bennett. He also has a multitude of step-grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

He retired in 1996, as a contractual electrician.

Frederick served as a US Marine during the Vietnam era. He was buried with military honors, in Spring Grove cemetery in Mercersburg, PA. on May 28th, 2021.

He will be carried by pallbearers: Charles P. Reynolds, Jeremy F. Bennett, Zachery J.Wilkerson, Alexander K. Bennett, Dennis W. Bennett, Dakota Smith-Neal, and London A. Dickson.
