Gloria Cooney Grunn, our Go-Go, died peacefully at her home on October 17, 2022. She was 93 years of age. 

She was a resident of Damascus, PA since 2000 after living in NJ most of her life, with a career in the travel industry for many years. She was a member of the Grover Hermann Hospital Auxiliary, and volunteered at several organizations. 

She was predeceased by her husband, Richard; her brothers, John, Jim, and Joe Cooney; and her sisters, Kay Fleming, Ethel O’ Mara, May Primrose, and Pat Kent; and her daughter-in-law, Tasha Williams. She is survived by her brother George; her daughter Laurie Knoop (David Dann), Jerry (Donna Plucinski), Peter (Paul Wetzel), Richard; her grandchildren, Kate Knoop (Silvio Censale), Dylan (Rachel Finninger Grunn), Corinna (David Barnett), Sullivan, and Sheridan; and her great-grandchildren, Milo and Willow, and many beloved nieces and nephews, whom she adored. 

There will be no visitation.

A Funeral Mass for Gloria was held on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at 1 PM at Holy Cross Church, Route 97, Callicoon. Father John Kennedy officiated. 

Burial was made in the Callicoon Cemetery, 319 Seminary Road, Callicoon. Memorial contributions may be made to the Grover Hermann Hospital Auxiliary, C/O P.O. Box 112, Callicoon, NY 12723.
