GRAHAMSVILLE – The Grahamsville Rod and Gun Club elected its officers for 2022 at its monthly meeting held on the first Thursday after the first Wednesday of the month, at the First Aid Squad building.

There were 19 members at this meeting.

All the members were commended for their volunteer activities, such as stocking streams and lakes with trout, bass and perch, environmental activities, teaching children and young adults hunting safety and responsibility, money raising activities like selling knives and outdoor equipment at the Grahamsville Fair and Tractor shows, and other community service throughout the year. They are organizing their coyote hunt. They are always looking for new members, men and women.

They are organizing the 14th Annual Coyote Hunt, sponsored by the Federation of Sportsmen’s Clubs of Sullivan County, New York, Inc. The Hunt is on February 4, 5, and 6. You must register before 7:00 pm on January 31 and must be postmarked by January 29.

There is a $2,000 Grand Prize awarded to the hunter with the heaviest coyote weighed. For registration forms or questions call Linda Loughrey in Jeffersonville at (845) 798-7992; or John Van Etten at (845) 292-8375.

Due to their dedication and initiative, all of the 2021 officers were re-elected for 2022.
