Holiday Moscow Mule

The holidays are among us and that means great food and wonderful cocktails. I plan on staying cozy at home, playing games, and sipping on a festive drink.

Recently, I tried the combination of gingerale and vanilla vodka, and was very pleasantly surprised. It almost tasted like some sort of alcohol cream soda. I had this idea to create a moscow mule using similar ingredients but replacing the gingerale with ginger beer! I added in a festive juice but if you want the pure vanilla taste, I recommend skipping the juice.

For this “Yule Mule” you will need 3-4 sprigs of fresh rosemary for garnish, 2 oz of your favorite vanilla vodka, 2 oz cranberry or pomegranate juice (optional), and 4 oz ginger beer.

In a cocktail shaker, place your vodka and 2 oz of your favorite juice and shake with ice. Strain into a copper mug and fill with ice and ginger beer. Garnish with cranberries and fresh herbs right in the copper mug!

With this year closing, it's important to remember making it this far is a feat in itself. My resolution for myself is just to breathe and be present (ok and maybe lose a few pounds that I gained in quarantine).

There will be many people who tell you about all they have accomplished this year, and that's ok, but everyone has accomplished something, and that is getting through this pandemic.

I am wishing each and every one of my readers a beautiful holiday. Stay home, stay healthy, and be well.
