Hugh Joseph Delaney Sr., age 86, of Brooksville, FL formerly of Neversink, NY, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2020. He was born in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, served in the U.S. Army and was the owner of Delaney Carpet Service in Woodbourne, NY.

He served three years as president for the Tri-Valley Lions Club, Master of the Hernando Masonic Lodge and was a member of the Liberty New York Elks Club and St. John Episcopal Church.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Alice; sons, Donald, Allen, Hugh Jr. (Theresa), and Bryan (Eileen); daughter, Lynn Delaney-Buley (Gary); ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son, James Craig Delaney.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a future date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Masons Sullivan Lodge 521 F. & A.M., PO Box 521, Liberty, NY 12754.
