Isabel R. Ackerley of Lew Beach passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at Roscoe Nursing Home. She was 88.
She was the daughter of the late Howard Rose and Elsie Lacey, born on April 11, 1936, in Andes, NY.
Isabel was a nurse for many years at Loomis Hospital. She was a true outdoorswoman, enjoying hunting, fishing and feeding the birds. She was very competitive and known for bragging about her hunting skills. She also enjoyed taking trips to the casinos with the senior citizens as well as playing games such as cards and horseshoes. She was a past member of the Livingston Manor Ambulance Corp, and past member of the Monticello Senior Citizens. She loved her family very much and will certainly be missed by everyone that knew and loved her.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children Howard Ackerley and his wife Brenda and Robbie Ackerley Sr. her grandchildren Robert Ackerley and his wife Cindy, Scott Ackerley and his girlfriend Emily, Robbie Ackerley Jr., and Lindsey, great-grandchildren Nathan Ackerley and fiancée Abigail and Aliviah Ackerley, many nieces and nephews including her favorite niece Ellen Lukkasson and her dear friend Florence Good.
She was predeceased by her three sisters and one brother.
Services are being handled privately at the convenience of the family.
