It’s “Hump Day”

Posted

For years Shirley and I would watch the “Hump Day” commercial and my wife even got herself two sweatshirts that read, “It’s Hump Day” and wore the shirts to work with that darn camel saying, “Do you know what day it is?”

Simply put that is how Wednesday got to be referred to as the “Hump Day.” Certainly the hump represents the middle and pivotal part of the week…seems Wednesday is often considered as one of the toughest days of the week.

The kids at the school Shirley worked at loved when she wore the Hump Day shirt.

And wouldn’t you know it…Hump Day is popular on the internet with many pictures and comments.

Love reading the various comments and quotes that have become part of everyday conversations.

Several of the most popular Hump Day quotes to get us through the rest of the week include Anthony T. Hincks, “Wednesdays will always bring smiles for the second half of the week,” George Carlin. “If all our national holidays were observed on Wednesdays, we could wind up with nine-day weekends,”and Sotero M. Lopez II says, “Happy Hump Day…at least you’re at the top of the hill…enjoy the roller coaster ride down to Sunday…then just get back in line.”

We all love fun type topics and ever since the Wednesday Hump Day commercials hit the airways a lot of laughter has been enjoyed by many.
