Announcement from the Cornell Cooperative Extension : The New York Youth Institute at Cornell University engages high school students on the biggest challenges facing people and the planet in the 21st century.
They empower students to research issues they care about, propose their own innovative ideas to solve grand global challenges, and explore exciting ways to make a difference in New York and around the world.
The New York Youth Institute will welcome high school students from across New York State at Cornell University on March 22, 2024. Registration opened in December and is due by February 23rd. Please contact Katie at krl55@cornell.edu for more information.
Starting on this Friday, the 16th, Zumba classes will be held Friday’s at 5:20 p.m. above the Village Office located at 17 Center Street, Jeffersonville. The first class is free with a fee of $10 for additional classes.
Reminder! A fundraiser for the AOH St. Patrick’s Day Parade is being held on Saturday, February 24th from 1-5p.m. at “Annies Ruff Cut” on 17B. There will be live music performed by “Windy Mule.” No cover, raffle prizes and a 50/50. The AOH Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be held on Saturday, March 16th at 1 p.m.!
Joining them, the McPadden Pipes & Drums, AOH Sullivan Brothers, and our own Jeffersonville Protection Hose #1. They welcome all Fire Departments, Ambulance Corps/Rescue Units, Businesses floats and participation, kids’ groups, marchers, marching bands, dancers, antique car clubs, and veteran groups. Lineup at Noon on Willy Avenue – Chapel Street is an “alcohol free” zone for the kids. Call JP at 845-807-7980 for FMI.
Barbara’s Bunch is busy again! Two wonderful Broadway Shows! One on May 4th that features “MJ The Musical “. Cost is $210 and your reservation must be made by March 1st. The second show is “Water for Elephants” on June 1st with the cost of $200 with your reservation by April 1st. Each of the show’s costs include: Motorcoach, driver’s gratuity, ticket and bag lunch of Roast Beef, ham, or turkey. Pickup times and locations in Jeffersonville, Liberty, Monticello, and Wurtsboro.
