Congratulations to the Officers and members of the Jeffersonville Fire Department that marched at the SCVFA parade in Monticello on Saturday, braving the crappy weather and bringing home trophies for both trucks and marching! Great job! 

The Solstice and Ash Mystic Shoppe are moving! They will be located between the new Jeff Diner (that opened!) and Jill C Photography. They will be re-opening As Solstice and Ash Mystic Shoppe and Scandal Broth Room ( a 10 person tea room). The Tarot girls, Addie and Michelle, will have a private room to do readings. There will be hosted events outside too! Join them for their first scheduled event on November 1 from 12-6pm. A ‘Samhain Celebration” with Tarot readings, Reiki & Chakra balancing, baked goods, herbal skincare, soy candles, gem stones, and much more. A Drum Circle will happen from 5-6 pm with the instruments provided. Sounds like fun! More details and dates for other events soon. 

So, Jeff’s Diner is finally open! They are located at 4893 State Route 52 in Jeffersonville and are open Monday – Sunday, from 7am-9pm. You can contact them at 845-482-2077.  Lots of “stuff” happening in Jeffersonville!

The Sullivan West FFA (Future Farmers of America) did very well at the NYS Fair on August 29 with 5 standout students competing in Wildlife ID and Tree ID CDEs. Congratulations to Lillian Bressler – 2nd in Jr. Wildlife ID, Rachel McCarthy – 4th in Jr. Wildlife ID, Victoria Skuthan – 10th in Jr. Wildlife ID, Lillian & Rachel team – 1st overall in Jr. Wildlife ID, Alison McCarthy – 4th in Sr. Tree ID and 2nd in Sr. Wildlife ID and Alison & Mackenzie Bernas team – 2nd in Sr. Wildlife ID. Great job everybody! 

On Saturday, September 20 the Roscoe/Rockland Volunteer Ambulance Corp. is sponsoring a Mega Tricky Tray with doors opening at Noon and running to 4 p.m. at the Community Center. There are over 140 prizes, a Special table and  with no admission fees. You do not have to be present to win either! Come out and show your support for your volunteers!

The United Reformed Church of Youngsville (located at 3990 State Route 52, Youngsville)is sponsoring a Fall Children’s Day on Saturday, September 27 from 12-2pm. Grab your children and come out for lots of fun with games, crafts, and snacks too! Please RSVP to Juliete at 845-417-8924.

Do not forget the Jeff Jamboree this Saturday! Grab your family and friends for the Tractor Parade and JEMS Annual Duck Race.  Music all day by the talented Little Sparrow band and new this year, line dancing down Main Street  with April from “Dancin’& Dreamin’ LLC! Free wagon rides through town by Butch and his beautiful draft horse team and lots of vendors and community groups too!  Before all the fun starts enjoy a delicious pancake breakfast at the First Presbyterian Church!

Save the Date! JEMS is hosting “Trunk or Treat” at The Backyard Park (located at 21 Lovett Lane, Jeffersonville) on Halloween, Friday, the 31, starting at 4pm.  Lots of fun (details to follow) and Free tractor/wagon rides between Parks so you can enjoy “Trunk or Treat” in Hughson Park too!
