Support your local Fire Departments! First, the Kenoza Lake Fire Department is holding their Annual Roast Beef Dinner on Saturday, October 9th from 4 p.m. on - a takeout dinner only at $14/dinner, at their Firehouse. Tickets available at the door.

Then the following Saturday, October 16th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. the Jeffersonville Fire Department is holding their Annual Roast Beef Dinner. (no tickets were mailed out this year) All tickets will be $15 and also only a takeout dinner at their firehouse (located at 4903 on State Route 52).

For tickets stop by the firehouse on Thursdays between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. or stop by the Secret Garden at 4917 State Route 52 in Jeffersonville during their normal business hours. They are closed Sundays and Mondays but are open the rest of the week from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Village of Jeffersonville is holding their Annual Trunk or Treat on Sunday, October 31st (of course! It’s Halloween!) at the Backyard Park (located at 876 Swiss Hill Road North, Jeffersonville) from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. At this time, they are asking for donations of candy that can be dropped off at the Village Office on Center Street (next to the Library).

Next, Save The Date: The James Dworetsky Holiday Parade Committee invites you to join them on Friday, November 26th at 7 p.m. on Main Street in Jeffersonville for the wonderful Annual James Dworetsky Holiday Parade. For questions call Bill at (845) 482-4151 or Sue at (845) 482-5354.

Many libraries across New York State will participate in this year’s Great Give Back this October. During October, all branches of the Western Sullivan Public Library are holding a Basic Needs Drive. All donations will be distributed to local pantries. Think of the essentials you use every day. Toothbrushes, deodorant, soap, cleaning supplies.

Donations of new items like these will help your neighbors in need. Collection starts October 1st at the Jeffersonville Branch. Donations will be accepted through mid-November.
